• Send notifications about matches and scheduled meetings
• Improve our matching algorithm based on aggregated feedback
• Ensure platform safety through moderation and abuse prevention

3. Anonymous Matching

Your identity is not revealed to other users until both parties agree on a meeting time. During the time-selection phase, matches are fully anonymous.

4. Meeting Transcription

Meetings conducted through Second Connections are transcribed using our video meeting provider (Daily.co). By joining a meeting, you consent to transcription.

• What is recorded: Audio transcription (text only) of the meeting conversation. No video is recorded.
• Who can access transcripts: Only the two meeting participants and Second Connections administrators (for moderation purposes).
• How transcripts are used: To generate meeting summaries, help you recall discussion points, detect no-shows, and improve match quality.
• Your control: You can hide a transcript from your meeting history at any time. Hidden transcripts are retained for moderation but are not visible to you.
• Consent: A disclosure notice is displayed on the meeting page before you join. By clicking “Join Meeting,” you consent to transcription for that session.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers necessary to operate the platform (email delivery, hosting, database) and when required by law.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can request account deletion at any time from your profile settings, which will remove your personal data within 30 days.

7. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data, including encryption in transit and at rest, rate limiting, and access controls.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You can manage most of these through your profile settings or by contacting us at privacy@secondconnections.com.
